Check Cashing

My husband would come in weekly and cash his check. It was very convient to come to Shaw's because it is right around the corner from our home instead of driving 15 minutes.

When you updated your system check cashing went from $3 with a $2 coupon on a purchase of $15 or more, now to $4 with nothing. We will really appreciated and used the coupons for instore purchases. We are really disappointed that this no longer an option and you are charging more to cash checks.

Please fix this issue or come up with a better way for people to get some sort of discount for cashing there paychecks with your company. Thank You

Empty Shelves

I shop every Tuesday at the Shaws on North Main Street in Fall River, MA. There really seems to be a problem with this particular store keeping their shelves stocked.

Empty shelve = lost sales. I am seriously considering finding a new grocery store to shop. I like the convenience of the store I shop but not being able to have a variety or finding what I am shopping for out of stock.

I end up looking up and down isles searching for alternative items or having to re-shop because the meals I had planned on for the week are missing items I need to complete them. Very frustrating for me to have to spend extra time in the store because of lack of stock.

Over charged

So tired of Buy 1get 1 deals. Again today I was charged for both items. Shaws stinks! Also their new receipts are ridiculous to figure out. I had to bag my own items. Its Friday for gods sake ramp up the staff. Monopoly program was ridiculous. Couldn’t get the free stuff as it was always out of stock. Bring it on Market Basket, Westbrook Maine! Have you seen the community they are building around the Market Basket development project? See Portland Press Herald front page yesterday. Wow it looks awesome! {{Redacted}}

Long line, talk to other cashiers, use call phones

Every time i go to shelburne rd vt theres always young cashiers who doesnt smile, bag terrible who puts cookies with frozen items and think they're still at school ( messing around). Is shaws diversed in different race? I was shocked to see a young black boy cleaning fetching carts and the rest of cashiers are white. That's whay make it so hard to shop there and im not the only one who noticed this too.SarcasticWtf

Harassed by new frontend manager

Last Sunday while shopping I asked our store's new (1st week) frontend manager - Kayla; as they rotate them every two years; a question about sale items and she immediately became agressive. For the next 30 minutes she followed my child and I around the store, searched/rummaged through my cart moving my items around, tried to pull my cart away from me, and got in my face all the while never once saying a word.

I left everything in one of the aisles and left tramatized and freaked out as she continued to chase me. While in the parking lot I called and spoke with the store manager Dave who ensured me that he would take care of it and she wouldn't be there any longer.

Needless to say Wednesday, with a friend joining me, I decided to return to do my shopping and she was still there and again agressively followed us going through different people's and my carts. Can something be done???

I think the manager's job went to her head. Some people think because they have a position of power that they can do what ever they want.

Being a manager means they manage the employees under them and to make sure the customers are treated with respect and courtesy.

It doesn't mean they can act like an *** and think they are too good to do something for a customer in need. That manager needs to go work someplace else.

Monopoly game a total rip off!

Monopoly game pieces at times give you instant winner pieces like a free grocery product or free Shutterfly product. Total rip offs!

I have won both and my Shaws doesn' t carry free grocery product! I won free products fron shutterfly but when i went to redeem monopoly coupon, the shipping was more than product! For dxampke, I won two free $5 magnets and 1 $10 reuseable bag. Wheni put it in "cart", everything was free BUT almost $14 shipping!

There ia a coupon on shutterfly for anybody to use that takes 40% off your order. Shipping using that versus the FREE product you won through Shaws monopoly was alot less!

Also i won Fandangle like 30 times but try and figure out what you get....you need a law degree! So i will go yo Big Y to shop. Dont lije these promos to get you to shop Shaws and then rips you off!

Yes i am mad!

Filthy store/outdated food/poor inventory

Shaw’s in Lancaster NH ( known to locals as”shitty Shaw’s”)

They continuously sell outdated food (in my case goat cheese almost 3 weeks beyond sell by date), rotten chicken, black rotten carrots, the list goes on

They try to pacify complaints from customers with gift cards

Store is FILTHY, black mold throughout storage areas

Overpricing throughout store in a economically challenged area

Poorly stocked shelves, unqualified people in managerial positions

We keep praying for Market Basket to come to our area

Don’t know how Department of Health overlooks this blatant disregard of basic health inspections

My store of choice in S.County,RI

The staff are very helpful in the store located in Wakefield,RI.

the location is clean and always well stocked. I like the under 10 line to move the customers thru the lines faster. I go about three times a week so it is very helpful to get in and out.

The bakery is always well stocked and the deli people are fast,and know their products. cases are well stocked. one complaint is that the chicken salad is so good you are out of that item a lot.

parking is great in a large public lot. The fruits and veggys are always very fresh and the staff also know the products. All in all it is a very nice store. They have good specials and so I will make it a go to place.

I 68 years old I had twelve items and went thru the 10 items the lady said to me you have too many items this is 10 or less not fair to everyone else. Are u kidding? She advised me to count my items next time. This is why I should stay with market basket

Next time tell the rude cashier that it 2 orders. There is nothing they can do about that.

They can be very rude and I learned from my dad at the age of 12 that the customer is always right and to always serve them with a smile and a hello.

How freaking hard is it for them to do that? If they don't like working with the public go work at the transfer station!

Mono poly is out of tickets

I spent over 200 dollars my last visit and had free tickets earned. The Wtftotal of tickets that I should have received was 46 and got 0.The cashier explain that there will be no more tickets delivered. I feel like I was scammed.

I am totally dissatisfied with the change in the new website. I miss my one day Friday specials the weekly circular preview and find it difficult to navigate weekly and weekend specials. This is very disappointing because I am a 35 year loyal customer who is not happy.
