Just for u digital coupons are not working.

I have called the toll -free number and reported my issue. The agent said an IT issue. This has been going on since you merged apps for on-line shopping. The discounts must be manually entered and thus dies the always work it give me the full discount. Just not acceptable and making me think about switching to Hannafords. I am probably losing $10 a week.

As a former cashier at Shaws, the customers were mad that the digital Just for u coupons hardly ever worked. I shop Market Basket, and other grocery stores, but I won't go to Shaws, not even for the sale items, and I won't do their digital coupons, because it's all gimmicks. They put a few items really cheap to get you to go into the store, and the rest of their stuff is really expensive.

They have updated the app, and now it is very difficult to find the coupons for the products advertised meaning if you didn't clip the coupon you won't get the sale price. This is a very sneaky business practice that will cost the customers extra at the check-out and when you're buying a week's worth of groceries you won't notice.

Out of $50. I have the receipt acknowledging that I paid for the card and at the receiving end they were unable to use it, they were told they couldn’t find that card being activated.

I got an eBay gift card and receiver when to use it and eBay said they had not been able to find that card. I have the receipt from the store I bought it and went down to tell them they said they couldn't do anything. I'm out $50 dollars

User's recommendation: If the company isn’t going to stand behind the customers when they have proof they bought a gift card and eBay said they didn’t find that card number the customer shouldn’t have to bear the lost. eBay should reimburse shaws to reimburse the customer.

Lack of products

I go shopping at Shaws in Riverside Rhode Island, on a weekly basis. Today they had white potatoes on sale for $.97, but they said they didnt receive it. This is getting sickening that it happens all the time! Im making corn beef and cabbage tomorrow and I had to pay $4.99 for a bag of potatoes! They should have an alternative product for the sale price of these items!! I should be reimbursed for the amount that I paid. It was useless going to the service desk because they would only pacify me with an answer.

This complaint was the first time I reached out using Pissed Consumer. However, I forgot to verify my email address with Pissed Consumer and when I didn't receive a response from Shaw's I contacted them directly via telephone. The customer service representative contacted the store directly. Later that day, a store manager contacted me via telephone. Apologized and said a gift card would be sent.

Horrible behavior

This morning at Shaws I witnessed an employee yelling at and shooing a homeless man out the door. He walked in when I did and was very polite. She didn't say anything to him other than "shoo, get, OUT! OUT!" Whilst making a get out of here motion with her hands and literally chading him out of the store. I am appalled and disgusted.

One person running front of store

Only one lady was in the front of house. Working a register, with self-checkouts. I waited at least 3 minutes before leaving with my order of at least $35.00 due to no only one person in the front of the house. She was checking people out and bagging. I am not looking for a handout, just hire someone else to work the area

I work for Bay State Community Services (BSCS). I reached out to the above managers and asked if they could help donate Betty Crocker cookie mix, frosting and sprinkles for holiday cookie decorating kits. Dan issued us a gift card so we could purchase the cookie mix and frosting and Mark gave us sprinkles and containers from the bakery. The kits were given to moms in our community who are in recovery from substance abuse. BSCS wanted to give the families a fun and healthy activity to do together over the holidays. We could not have done it without Dan and Dave. Thank you!!!

Extremely Rude, Inconsiderate Employee at the Lewiston Maine Shaw's

Today I was shopping at the Shaw's Supermarket in Lewiston, Maine. Today is October 13th, 2020. The store number is 4559. My cashier was an incredibly courteous boy named Ryan. I believe he was in training. The lady who was training him and bagging was named Heidi Sue. Heidi Sue, however, was anything but. The way she treated that poor boy was both negligent, unprofessional, and borderline abusive. Heidi Sue was supposed to be bagging, and left while my stuff was being wrung up by this poor trainee (who was very kind and careful) to go gossip with another employee. After everything was wrung up (an entire cart full, mind you, with 3 people in line behind me), I proclaimed where is the bagger? To which my friend replied "Gossiping with another employee". The poor trainee, meanwhile, is trying to bag my groceries (and was very considerate while doing so) and noticed the entire string of bags had broken handles! At this point this woman comes back and Very Very Rudely says to this young man, "I can't believe you're having problems with these bags, there's nothing wrong with them!" Then grabs the bag with my meats in it (which has a broken handle, by the way) and tells him they are not allowed to double bag and he was not to re-bag my items. She Then Slams my bag down hard enough that my packages of meat came open! I asked her to please not slam my bags. She said " Excuse me, what did you just say?" And I said "My bags of groceries, please So not slam them into the cart like that" and she says "What did I slam?" In a very snide and condescending way. So I repeated myself and pointed at my bag of meats and said "That bag! You just slammed my meat so hard I could hear it break!" And she says "Oh I didn't know I slammed your meat" then continued to bag my fresh vegetables and toss them into the cart. Then she started bagging my canned vegetables... After putting the bottom of the cart full of delicate things... And was about to toss them in and I took the bag of bread the poor kid had bagged up and set it down in her way, on top of the fresh vegetables. This Whole time she's still talking to the other employee, rolling her eyes etc ,She slowed her roll when she saw the bag of bread and says "you should move that so I can put this there and this doesn't tip over and crush your bread". At this point my friend pipes up and says "you can have them put some of your stuff in my cart, Nelly, so they don't crush anything, we're going to the same place anyway". The woman huffs and starts putting things in my friends cart.

This is my second time trying to relay this message As a 75 yr old widow I feel discriminations when it comes to buying specials. Many sale items require bulk buying. I already paid my dues with my family of five, now I eat for one.I should be able to get pro rated sale price when I only can consume or eat one such item I want a return response, not a form email. What will you do for senior pricing?

Customer service

Repeated bad customer service by one of the cashiers at the 610 Middle Street Weymouth, Ma 02189 Shaws has bothered myself and another patron. She was aggressive and rude in her demeanor. Every other Shaws employee I have ever encountered before has been very helpful and shown common decency to patrons.

I DONT DRIVE AND WITH THIS COVID-19 MONEY IS TIGHT. I JUST GOT BACK FROM SHAWS ON MAINE STREET BANGOR. I SPENT 45 DOLLARS 30 OF WHICH WAS PRODUCE. ONLY TO GET HOME AND FIND MELLONS WERE FROZEN AND PUT OUT FOR US SUCKERS TO BUY. I CALLED THE STORE AND GAVE THE PRODUCE GUY A CHANCE TO COME CLEAN. HE SAID HE DIDNT KNOW THEY WERE FROZEN. CUKES HAD BEEN FROZEN AND THAWED.I CANT GET BACK TO YOUR STORE ANYTIME SOON..THE HONEYDEW MELLON WAS ICE COLD INSIDE AND TASTELESS. I PAID 5 BUCKS EACH FOR THE THREE. I TOOK A PHOTO AND CAN SHOW MY WET RECEIPT. I CAN'T AFFORD TO BUY PRODUCE THAT HAS TO BE EATEN AS SOON AS I GET HOME. Your Waterville Store is a mess.

I have been going here for several weeks to grocery shop. My wife and I used to shop at Hannifords,s but since the Covid-19 They have not had items on their shelves.

Well it's been a confusing affair for several weeks as the store changes things around. Each week it is a new adventure to find what we need. Every time we come here things we need are moved again. Then trying to get down aisles is a pain.

You have carts and people trying to move items from one side to another. Today was no different from the past few weeks only today at almost 9:00 AM shelves were not stocked And again items moved all over the place from last week. I asked the check out about this and when it will be done she thought in another month.

If,I had known it was going to be like an Easter egg hunt to go shopping here I would have gone elsewhere. I will wait a month or so to see if by then you have things back together.
